Eerste van der Helststraat

This statue stands in tribute to Andre Hazes, a Dutch singer of sentimental folk songs. From what I've read, he had quite a successful career than spanned four decades. The statue is a somewhat unflattering, kitsch sculpture of a overweight man in his middle-age. He is seated on aa stool and belting out one of his famous folk some. I wouldn't go out of the way to see this unless you have a lot of time on your hands.

An iconic Dutch folk singer that is captured in a statue. During his lifetime, he made 31 albums and 55 singles. He is mostly known for a national footbal song named 'we love Orange', Wij houden van Oranje. Orange is the colour of the dutch football team. So people unknown about him my pass this by, but it is still a beautiful statue.
Never forget
Mooi klein monument.
