This private artist society building is now open to the public more often thanks to the hosting of various exhibitions on the top floor. The location itself is worth a visit, the neo-classical style creates a peculiar atmosphere. I personally love the staircase with its imposing lighting fixture. Upstairs the spaces have been renovated to accommodate large art installations and screens depending on the events. (I heard you can have lunch during the week so I will give it a try soon!)

It was a private artist club and just open to the public for lunch recently. Classic interior with authentic Dutch flavor!
Nice classical designed interior by Hendrikus Berlage. Relaxed place to settle down for a consumption. Even the turning chairs are masterpieces.
Arti et Amicitae is the oldest artist society in the Netherlands. I am a member since 2017 and had the opportunity to make documentation of several exhibtion in the past.
This is the oldest art society of the Netherlands. But surpricely enough they are showing modern art. Very interesting place to see. You can enjoy a lovely talk in a lunch cafe without music. Fantastic. Today almost impossible to get into a cafe where you can talk on a normal way.
