I started going to Jacaranda Tree with my daughter when she was around 10 months old. It was a pure delight to watch and support her curiosity and growth in such a stimulating environment. I got loads of ideas about toys, books, songs and activities that she was \into\ at the moment and could use this information in turn to enrich her play at home. Simone Davies is an absolutely amazing, generous, and dedicated educator. As a first-time parent, I found our time at the Jacaranda Tree to be extremely valuable, both on a learning, interaction, and play level as well as a community resource (there are also frequent parenting workshops on offer). In my experience, I so enjoyed the great mix of Dutch, ex-pat, and multilingual families who were attending classes.

We travel from Utrecht once a week for this special play time, and have attended parenting workshops given by Simone. Excellent. Not sure who has benefited more - mom and dad, or the little one! It's helped me to learn to trust our little one and his abilities. And he feels better too, because, who doesn't like to feel trusted? Highly recommended.
I took my son here from about 6 months until he started pre-school, and we both loved it. I found Simone a great comfort, and always looked forward to the playgroup so I could get some tips on how to deal with difficult situations in a Montessori way. Simone is a lovely person, and a great example of how to be with children. I loved the peaceful atmosphere the Jacaranda Tree provided, and will always stay in touch with Simone, who was like part of our family for those first few years. We also met lots of like minded people here who we're still in touch with. A lovely place, highly recommended!
Ever since we started our weekly visits to this special place not only our playtime has expanded- so has our own creativity @ home. I love all the corners and stations we get to visit as much as my daughter whilst investigating the world of colours and shapes together. Its light, spacious and never feels crowded. Very good energy here. We love driving down to Amsterdam especally for it. Its so worth it.
Went to Jacaranda tree playgroup with my daughter Maja from 9 months till she was 2 years old and she loved it there. Over time it really felt for her as her place, always same structure of the place, but slow changes in available toys and works. Of course best is the snack table and the singing at the end of each session :-) Now half a year later she still sometimes mentions it's if we cycle by there.
