When you get to shoot with Megan Alter it is a true photo shoot experience like you have walked into a scene and are taken away. Every thing is perfect from the storyboard to the makeup, jewelry, and clothes that are planned for you. She talks with you about the mood and theme of the shoot and wants you to feel a part of everything and she incorporates your ideas making the whole day unforgettable. You don't want to stop shooting. She gets into the shoot and is laying on the ground one minute pointing the camera up and then climbing rocks around you to get a whole new angle. We have shot underwater together and I love this, Megan dives under right next to me and it just clicks no matter how cold the water or how deep she still gets the shot. Shooting underwater became our thing and brought us together to want to work together all the time. Megan brainstorms the themes like tossing red rose peddles, being covered in white sand from the wind, or getting lost in the woods in a white flowing dress, and we spend the whole day shooting. When I see the pictures she has captured I am taken away by what she has created as moments in time. I forever hope to shoot with Megan.

VERY bad business ethics. My wife and I emailed and FB messaged to ask to set up a meeting to get quote for photo shoot for my wife. and no one ever got back to us.

I paid for a course last year and I, unfortunately, I was just able to attend one lesson. I told her my situation in advance but she gave me no solution so I lost all my money (around 320 euros). I'm totally disappointed, and of course, I would never recommend it. There are many good photographers in Amsterdam that can teach you to make good pictures (and not only take your money) so I will choose another one next time

I did an internship at Megan Alter Photography for three months in 2015. Besides other intern tasks I was able to attend two Digital Photography Courses. Learning new photography skills in a small group full of inspiring people from all over the world was a great experience!
