Great brick and mortar hardware store, a reference in Amsterdam West. Owner Louis Meijer knows his stuff. He's not getting covid relief help ( this was Jan 2021), so buy from him!

Traditional hardware store with an enormous assortment of tools and building materials for the hobbyist and professional alike. They stock hinges and locks of every description and can cut most types of keys. In addition to all types of ironware, this is the place to come to for bicycle and car accessories, curtain rails, painting and decorating requirements, electric products, garden and sanitary equipment and much more. There is a bargain corner at the front of the shop which is always worth checking out. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and are renowned for their over the counter humour. Service with a laugh and a smile. In the unlikely event that they don't have what you are looking for, they will almost certainly point you in the right direction.
Great small hardware store. One of the few ones left in the city due to all the bigger DIY stores opening up on the outskirts. These guys are savvy and give great advice when asked for and are always up for a laugh. They should get their own reality tv show.
One of the last remaining hardware stores where you can buy just the right amount of tools you need for an affordable price. The owners are very friendly and knowledgeable. They can always help you find exactly what you need. Highly recommended!
