अतिथिदेवो भव and अन्नदाता सुखीभव are practiced here. Amazing food, excellent host and great ambience. We felt at home. They are in business since 40 years and are currently running the hotel more as a service than business! Highly recommended restaurant. Prices are very very low and highly worth the taste!

Since we have moved from England we have been eagerly looking for a place with good Indian food. Our friends introduced us to this restaurant which is not just a place to eat. Its rather an experience. It feels like you have been invited to worlds warmest family who serves the finest Indian delicacies. Highly recommended.
Service was very slow. Got our first drinks served after more than half an hour. Ordered masala chai, but it was just very weak tea. We wanted to order the vegetarian menu but both the samosas and pakoras weren't available (no explanation was given why not, they didn't run out because we were the first guests of the evening). The host was friendly, but only communicated in Hindi to my partner (personally I find it quite rude to be ignored). We had the Saag Paneer and Benghan Barta. The portions are very small and the curries quite watery. The complimentary Dal was bland and the chapatis were incredibly oily. We were incredibly disappointed at this place and not sure how it even got a 4 rating.
In my view, this is one unique restaurant, I say this from my well travelled experience of 70 countries. If you want to experience authentic home cooked Indian food, this is the place to be. The restaurant is run by an Indian family who do this business out of their passion to serve quality & tasty food. When I am in Amsterdam and crave for Indian food, this is my only choice. If you go there, give my regards to the owners and mention to them about my review as they will appreciate. Super kind people.
