My stylist, Piran - a 22 year old Dutch-Turkish student, did a great job with my thick curly hair. I don't know any Dutch and she said she doesn't know much English (even though I disagree - she speaks good English like most Dutch people), there was no communication problem whatsoever and did a fantastic job. I was skeptical to get my hair cut in a pandemic but the facility is clean and has separators between customers. For 14.95, I got shampoo, cut and style which is unbeatable for an expensive City like Amsterdam. I will definitely go back and hopefully Piran will be my stylist again! :-)

Romee gave me a great haircut! It was overall a really good experience. So affordable and the students are really professional and knowledgeable.

I got 'paintings' (loose highlights) and a cut here. Kind of an odd experience. 2 students were working on my hair while the boss was running around and giving everyone commands. The technique they used to apply the colour (tease all my shorter hairs onto my scalp and then apply the colour very slowly and thoroughly) felt quite inefficient as the process took forever (even with 2 people working on my hair). I have thick and curly hair which after being completely teased, had to be brushed out again. This process was not only very long but also painful and I lost an unneccessary amount of hair during it. Then my hair was blow-dried (without a diffuser, so it became super frizzy) and then soaked and washed again. I was in the salon for more than three hours. All this wouldnt be so bad but I got charged about as much as I would have paid in a 'normal' salon without students. Overall, I would not recommend if you have curly/thick hair that is not the easiest to handle and you want more than just a cut. The students are not to blame tho, they were very nice and just doing their best.
