Daalder was fantastic. We had the 7-course tasting menu and it was delightful from start to finish (especially the slow-cooked egg). The service was prompt, and every interaction we had with the staff was great. Our waitress even took time from her day to appease us and take our photo outside. Can’t recommend Daalder enough.
It was epic. Service was amazing, pairings were perfect, the 7 courses were exactly what we needed for this humid summer heat wave (light and fresh). I'm already planning to come back.
Five stars, for good flavours and execution. Vegetarian menu could be a little more exciting. Showed a lot of creativity, and potential - but IMO, the food is a little over-done — too many components that didn’t necessarily go well together and a lot of foams. A worthwhile stop, and quite reasonably priced for Amsterdam.
Daalder is an excellent restaurant headed by chef Dennis Huwaë, offering up Michelin quality meals in this popular dining venue along Lindengracht in Amsterdam. Reservations are highly recommendable. Opening hours are 12-2.30pm (lunch) and 6.30-10pm (dinner) from Friday to Monday. They are also open for dinner only on Thursday (6.30-10pm) and are closed on Tuesday and Wednesday. Seating is nicely arranged in two sections, service in attentive, polite and friendly. The chef and kitchen staff prepare different dishes each day. Patrons simply choose how many(4 to 7) courses you'd like and let the Daalder team do the rest. Allow sufficient time for your meal, courses are served every 20-30 minutes. During our recent dinner, we enjoyed the seven course meal and thoroughly enjoyed each of the dishes created in the Daalder kitchen. Ingredients fresh, high-quality and flavourful. Dish creation and presentation demonstrated finesse, knowledge and real ability in the kitchen. In the end, this was our second excellent meal at Daalder in recent years. This is very really good place for special occasion and dinner dates. Would happily return for another meal at Daalder during future visits to Amsterdam.
