Fantastic and unique tearoom AND authentic Amsterdam experience. A real gem for Dutchies and tourists alike. In COVID-times also available and interesting: they go above and beyond for gorgeous and delicious gifts to business relations, or indeed wedding guests. Their consistent levels of excellent products as well as their outstanding customer service are unique here in the Netherlands. I would rather keep this \best kept secret\ to myself, but this business simply only deserves the highest praise. Keep up the great work, we will be back for tea and scones when we can!

The house, by some called the \Smallest house of Europe\, is 2.02 meters (6 feet 8 inches) wide and 5 meters (16 feet 5 inches) deep. Getting the first look was really interesting. love the colours.

One of the best memory from my trip here in Amsterdam. We came inside for a snack but serving is closed during few weeks because of covid. (It will start again very soon!) That’s where we met the owner ! We fell in love with some of the tea he proposes which we purchased. Thats were we started to chat about our different lifestyle, and even about Amsterdam’s history under Napoleon haha. He showed us the entire Smallest House, explained us its history, and even offered us a postcard so we could remember the shop forever (I sure will). You can be sure that next time I’m coming in Amsterdam, visiting the shop and finally tasting their apple pie will be the first thing I do.

Het Kleinste Huis (Smallest House in Amsterdam) is located along Oude Hoogstraat in the city centre and is a national heritage site. This is a cute small house that presently serves as a tea house as well. Het Kleinste Huis is 2 metres wide and 5 metres deep. It was built in the 1730s, it is traditional bell-gable style and basically a miniature version of many of Amsterdam's canal houses. Have a quick look, take your pics and continue onward with other sightseeing.

3 girlfriends and I had the best time here! The owners are beyond kind and spend over an hour chatting with us about the house, the city and their lives! We couldn’t recommend a better place to have a wonderful experience! I purchased a black tea (recommended by the owner) for my mom, and she can’t get over how amazing it is! I also got their “house blend” and it’s one of my favorite teas!
