A total must to take this tour when you visit Amsterdam, actually I'd advise you to make it the first spot to visit, the views, landscapes, buildings and museums you will find along the way will not fail to impress you, plus, as always, you will be able to make really good pics, the audio guided tour is pretty entertaining as well.

I was able to hop the boat cruise towards the end of my visit to Amsterdam in April 2018. I quite enjoyed my walk to main location to pick up my ticket to sit back & enjoy the tour with ear plugs supplied. This is a must to take the boat tour when visiting Amsterdam.

Canal trip is kinda must to do in Amsterdam. This is my 1st experience, so can't compare with plenty others company in town. But I think it's already a good one. Bought ticket online for 14.5 (though, cheapest one might be in morning, 9-11am). In general, nice experience !

Booked a dinner tour about two hours before check-in time. Everything was handled perfectly by the friendly staff on board. Food was great, drinks were included and refilled often. It wasn't a constantly guided tour, but all the major sights were pointed out by the staff. Good opportunity to see Amsterdam both in the daylight and in the dark. Cruise ran from 7:30-10pm.

Beautiful views, good food, very nice personnel. On the other hand, it felt very crowded (4-seat tables on a 84-people boat) and noisy. Not recommended for a romantic night out, but interesting as a different perspective on a very beautiful city.

We wanted to make the tour in a closed boat for the Festival of Lights and found it here. You do not book an exact time but go to the jetty if you want to drive. It may take a while, however, since around 75 passengers can fit on each boat. The fleet is so big, however, that a boat comes every 15 minutes if the line is long enough. The tour itself was a real treat, because this special festival is really unique (different to Berlin) and the trip takes you past many (about 20) installations. Often they are sculptures on the edge or in the middle of the canal. Many have a historical or political message that can be heard on the tour (in Dutch and English). The highlights were some installations where the ship became part of the artwork and we were right in the middle of it instead of just being there. A really unique experience!

a week ago I got a hop-on, hop-on off all day travel ticket. A lovely relaxing trip through the canals.

My husband and I did the 100 Highlights evening canal tour which was thoroughly enjoyable and very informative. We embarked on the 8pm journey, which meant that the boat was only around half full and we weren't crammed in like sardines (which was very pleasing in light of the horrendous heat and humidity). The Amsterdam Canals are a UNESCO World Heritage Site, making a boat trip an absolute essential of every visit to the city. Our tour taught us all about the various designs and structures of the canal houses, and pointed out buildings of significant historical importance. We also discovered that Amsterdam has around 2500 bridges - many of which are extremely pretty and have an air of romance about them. We loved watching dozens of boats of all shapes and sizes sailing by and were pleased to see so many people enjoying themselves on the canals.
