I attended the advanced classes with Chris and I was quite pleased with his methodology and ways of working. I was able to learn new expressions and improve my English. We had nice conversations during the classes and an interesting mix of international students. The book that is used is really good and I can continue to practice it after the course. I certainly recommend the English lab!

The English Lab offers a great opportunity to improve your English and meet new people. The group was very diverse with students from European countries and Latin America. The length of the lessons was just about right, especially if you have had a long day at work, and the aim was always to make students feel more comfortable speaking English publicly.
I attended the advanced course and I absolutely like it! This course is a great opportunity to improve vocabulary and discussion skills, but it won’t suit you very much if your point is intensive grammar studying. An atmosphere is very friendly and relaxing, thanks for tea and sweets :) Chris is a walking library about what’s going on in the city and nearby - it could help you if you’ve just relocated to Amsterdam. Also It is a place where you can find new friends.
Chris is a great teacher and human being. I definitely recommend his classes always interesting and motivating! You will find a safe and welcoming place to develop your English skills in Amsterdam. Laura Coelho
Not only is Chris a good teacher, but also a nice person to be with! I had just arrived at Amsterdam and he gave me advice about almost everything. I had reached Chris because I wanted training for the Proficiency exam (CPE), and I passed it with flying colours. Thanks Chris!
