Ice cream is superior compared to the normal ice cream standard in Amsterdam, but so are the prices. Nevertheless, if you do pass by then the chocolate ice cream was memorable and the \knettersuiker\ adds some fun if you are not afraid of tooth damage.
Chocolates aren't anything special, was in the area and decided to try a few. The tiramisu one was barely edible, incredibly grainy and over sweet. I love sweet things, if I say it's too sweet- then something is incredibly wrong. Out of the 8 that I tried, only enjoyed the salted caramel one and that was fine- nothing incredible or worth having again. Ice cream isn't bad though! Really think it's the star of the place! The stracciatella is one of my fave things. If you are looking for premier chocolate I would recommend Linnick!!
Van Soest in the Utrechtsestraat has taken the haughtiness and arrogance out of good chocolate and has offered it to the world with friendliness and warmth. Their products are excellent and their staff is courteous. In the summer, it's a great place to have ice-cream. It's a place I can highly recommend.
