Started off with a decent monthly rate, ended up with three times that amount per month. It wriggled up over the years. My fault for not keeping an eye on it. I should have, as it's my own responsibility. So I'm mad at myself for assuming they maintained the price that went with the cosy-country-simple-farmer vibes that were promoted by greenmided youngsters in dungarees, when they were increasingly moving towards peak luxury pay-for-the-brand-name rates on my watch. That said I've never had this experience with any other energy company, none of them tripled in price on me. Current offers from them are howling expensive when there's local (!) green energy for a fraction of the price available. Vandebron is a NOPE for me, left them for good.

Avoid. I became a customer with them, because I needed a company that could do “automatische incasso” from a foreign account. They ended up not being able to do it. Alright, mistake made. However, they also wrote down the wrong email address, so they never contacted me about a late fee. As a result, they ended up sending an incassobureau after me. After having to threaten them (!) to take action in return, they finally admitted their mistake and that they would bear the costs of the incassobureau. A year later, I was to get money back, because my tenant left before the end of the year. They sent me an email, to inform me that they took the money from the incassobureau from what I was to get back. I inquired what this was about and that I wanted to get my money back (with their own email as support) and they are not responding anymore. Probably the worst energy company I have ever dealt with.

Base idea of Vandebron is the best I see for this industry: try to connect as much people to the same energy source and help them to use less electricity, so you can connect some more! Further very clear communications and website!
