Okay here is my honest opinion about this bakery. Every bakery has his specialty. Don't think if it's rated with 5 stars that eveything you can buy is a 5 star product. I am not enthousiastic about all their products (sometimes their chocolate pie or brownie is really good and sometimes really not (dried out and tastes really bad). But if you want to enjoy a special treat or to buy a delicious gift specificly famous from this area, then this is the place to buy the 'Haagse Kakker' (just eat it with butter... so delicious) or 'Haagse Jantje' (it's a milk chocolate pralinee with very tiny pieces of nuts, kind a crocantino). These 2 products never let me down, that why I still give this bakery 4 stars.

We bought a great looking chocolate cake and were excited about it, but it ended up tasting really bad, as if it was way out of date or the products it was made of were expired. The next morning we went to the bakery to give it back and whereas they took it and gave us some goodies in return, they didn't seem to care about it at all - no questions about what was wrong, why we didn't like it, making sure it wouldn't be that bad in the future. As well as the eclair we've got in return was exactly like the cake - rotten! Everything can happen, but at least some attention and care would be very much appreciated. No wonder the products turn out to be nasty bad, when there is no quality in the service :)
From what looks amazing, to a horrible experience. The sweets look great and tempting, but once you get and try them - expect an out of date, expired tasting product. On top of that, the staff seems careless and indifferent, - needed to come up with a solution to giving back a terrible cake myself. And even with doing that, the products received as for a return weren't any bit better. Something is clearly not working in this place and they have no clue about it whatsoever. -
Lovely shop with friendly staff and delicious confections. The small chocolate bites are very good. Weekends are busy, but the staff is quick to help.

Hier ga ik niet meer heen. Lekkere dingen, haagse specialiteiten, maar erg duur en zelden klantvriendelijk, zo'n zaak die de indruk geeft dat het te goed met ze gaat. De laatste keer schrok ik van wat ik moest betalen en ipv dit te verdedigen met een verhaal over de kwaliteit of uniciteit van de producten was de reactie \tja dat is best duur\...
