In the e-mail that we received with information about the location, we were given with the wrong coordinates. We were in luck to encounter kind people who recognized the house from picture and directed us to it. We contacted the Belvilla team about it as it cost us hours of search on arrival, and eventually, not without an effort, they refunded us the amount of that first night. The rest of the stay was smooth and perfect.

Awful company, do not book with them!! Completely unresponsive on issues that be had with the booking and took a long time to reply to simple questions... would happily just have taken our money and not let us stay. Better to book with a reputable company with actual service.

Their approach to the claims because of covid19 is to try to make profit through cancelations even when they are well justified given the current circumstances and your booking predates the crisis. Stay away from this company as they do not act in good faith and certainly not in the best interest of their customers.

Have been trying to contact for over a week and impossible to speak to anybody. Booked the property through AirBnB and they make impossible to make any changes to your booking, do not book through Belvilla

don’t usually rate companies but.... With this company be aware. I booked a chalet in Austria, we then went in to lockdown and the German government advised against all leisure travel over Christmas. We as moral human beings want to try limit the spread of this deadly virus so wanted to cancel the villa. This was agreed with the villa owner who contacted Belvilla to cancel our trip. However Belvilla would not cancel as the Austrian government had not specifically said private home rentals our not allowed. Eventually the Austrian government advised against all leisure travel. Belvilla cancelled. Now I thought I would get my 1700 euro back quite easily. But no I was offered a voucher. Legally i do not have to accept this and can request money. Well the customer service at Belvilla is useless they cannot do anything, cannot put you in contact with someone who can elevate the issue of withholding returning my money. The reason they are withholding money is so ‘they don’t go bankrupt’ as quoted by Annouk (maybe misspelled) in the customer sept. They would only ever have received the management fee and never the full amount as that would go to the villa owner. But they are withholding it for their own benefit. It is under an ‘insurance policy’ to safeguard the money but we all know how difficult insurance companies are at paying out, especially when the insurance is with a third party. If Belvilla go bankrupt which it sounds like a strong possibility, you will be trying to get your money from an insurance company with the thousands of other people, this will be an unlikely or lengthy process! So I am currently having to contact my credit card to retrieve the money, also seeking legal advice to elevate this matter to a non existent customer service at Belvilla. So my advice would be stay clear of this company. * the villa owner has been more than helpful and accommodating so this is not directed at her at all.
