Great for rowing and great for partying! Gyas is a closed student society for people who want to row; all ability and commitment levels welcome! Every Thursday there's also a party that's open to all members. The two main things you need to remember about Gyas is that: 1. It's primarily a Dutch society; foreigners, including non Dutch-speakers are indeed welcome, but the lingua franca, particularly during training, is in Dutch. Plus side: you will learn a lot! 2. There are two periods in which you can register to become a member: in March, and in August during the KEI-week. I don't know much about Spring registration, but during KEI-week you fill out a bunch of info and get your name put into a lottery. They do 3 lotteries, so be sure to sign up for each until you get in to increase your chances!
