So soon as you move out of your studio (you probably has made it spotless in order to receive your deposit back) these guys stop taking your calls and answering your email.. Why can’t you give the deposits back on time?

I just moved in in a Studio rented by Jules and my experience so far has been very positive. Staff is very welcoming, approachable and friendly. They made the process of moving in easier and less stressful for me.

This is a warning to any new students arriving in Maastricht. Jules promote themselves as company to help new students that move to the city, and are (for some uncomprehending reason) partnered with the university and the Maastricht Council. But as most students realize after living here for a year or so, this is a company that isn't set out for the best interests of new students. I have the feeling that their business model is to take advantage of the fact that new students (often foreign), are less likely to know 'the system' and are more likely to pay extortionate fees for below standard services, which in some cases are illegal (such as their housing agency fees which you will most certainly be charged). I would recommend searching for an alternative to using their services.

How many times does students need to contact you to get their deposits back! If they moved out and you promise to do it within a few months just do it. If you cancel one of your language courses, just pay the refund! Actually be the service that you promise to be for students and not this lying parasite, taking advantage of a vulnerable group!

I had a problem with the deposit, It took me almost one year to get it back. The problem was solved directly by the owner. In fact she was really nice. Despite of this fact, the staff was always helpful, always trying to solve any problem I had (heating pressure, flatmate breaking the contract, flat tire, etc) . In my opinion they just need more control over their processes.

Excellent moving experience. Driver was on time, and helped very efficiently to get my stuff out of the house and into the van. And later helped to get one half into the storage unit the other half into the new flat, although the new flat was on the second floor. I can really recommend the moving service of Jules Maastricht.
