An extraordinary hostel converted from a former prison. Rooms are simple, toilet in two person room is modern. everything is very clean. Breakfast is simple but tasty. Phenomenal location - everything in a walking distance from hostel.

Really cool old prison. All ages will feel welcome. Saw an elderly couple, young kids, young adults with a dog and I am in my sixties.
Really awesome experience to stay in a cell. Very friendly staff. Beautiful building. I took the private cell with own bathroom for 60 euro per night. Nicely in the jail style. It's a very simple room but effective. Towel and one small bottle of soap included. Beds comfy. Small desk in the room. No place to put your luggage and no power outlets near the bed to put in your phone charger at night. Shower only gives warm water for like 8 minutes or so and then turns cold for a long time, so better be prepared with your soap until you run out of hot water. If people return late at night it's VERY noisy. Even if they speak normal it echoes like crazy through the hall in front of the rooms and any sounds from in or out of your room can be heard very well on both sides. WiFi is free but not always very stable. Small kitchen to prepare your own food and a fridge to store your stuff. The bad points make it up for me for the coolness of staying at this place. Price a tiny bit high for being a hostel and what you get. 40 to 50 euro per night would be a better fit. Payment up front, cards accepted, American Express is not accepted. Location smack in the middle of the city. Just a five minute walk from the train station. Would stay here again.
This is a really neat place, with loads of history. I'm sure if you told prisoners 60 years ago that people would pay to stay here, they would have thought you crazy! That said, I'm sure if the wall could talk... people wouldn't sleep very well. But I like to look at the transition from dark to light.
A great Hostel. What an experience to sleep in a former prison cell. Everything has been refurbished and looks quite new. The room and bed were very comfortable. The hostel was quite empty in this covid 19 context... The only weak point was the breakfast in my opinion: the food was not that great and everything was wrapped into plastic which is the kind of thing that really grinds my gears... The staff was friendly and helpful!
Coolest hostel I have ever stayed in!! Such a good idea. Also the staff is nice, the facility is perfectly clean and it’s quiet so you can get a great nights sleep. Towels included as well

Unforgettable! Quirky setting plus very clean, something for everyone at breakfast, and very accessible for disabled folks.
