The Nederland-Batam foundation (Neba) is a private initiative organization that has been certified as a Recognized Charity. Since our establishment in 1987 our goal is to contribute to the autonomy of poor and underprivileged people in Indonesia. We do that by raising funds for projects that we create, develop and execute together with local partners. The projects support the medical and socioeconomic development of underprivileged people in Indonesia. Spearheads within our objectives are the access to clean water and sanitation for people in remote communities in rural Indonesia and the struggle against HIV/AIDS. Combining objectives within projects, the focus on an attitude change towards greater autonomy of our target groups, taking stakeholders seriously and the role of women are our core values.
