Warning- Currently, this is the *ONLY* MoneyGram location in Maastricht, so brace yourselves- not much of an alternative to your quest, I'm afraid... There's no use sugarcoating- the place is literally located in a shady basement underneath a creepy wig store. Against my better judgement, I'd say the staff are... tolerant? I haven't encountered any rudeness or lack of proper service, but if you have a more complex task for them than simply picking up money from someone, it might be more complicated. I haven't really made use of any other of their services, given I mostly just wanted to get out of there before one of the mannequins comes to life and strangles me with my own intestines... Besides that though, I've always had my business completed within 5-10 minutes of arriving and the worst thing that can happen to you is that they'd ask you to walk with them to an ATM so they can withdraw the money they will give you right after it exits the machine.
This MoneyGram agent is actually located in a salon. It really gave me the creeps! We had to go down a very narrow staircase to a tiny basement with piles and piles of boxes (it couldn't feel more shady if they tried). The staff looked confused or downright angry at our efforts to make the best of this situation. They were generally uncommunicative: they only spoke French, very broken Dutch or very very broken English. The mannequins also creeped me out! I would not recommend this location at all.
It is actually located in the creepy basement of a hair salon, staff was rude and spoke almost no English. I was not sure if I was going to make it out of that basement alive or with my money.
