De ruige natuurrijke omgeving in combinatie met de historische gebouwen zorgt voor een bijzondere sfeer. Het fort biedt de perfecte locatie voor evenementen, brainstorms, vergaderingen, conferenties en diners. De twee hectare grond die bij De Batterijen horen, bieden uitgestrekte mogelijkheden voor outdoor evenementen. Het fortterrein is door haar unieke karakteristieken een sfeervolle locatie voor elke groepsgrootte. They make stone oven pizza on the spot. A tasty one nevertheless. The place is spacious, with different attractions for all generations. The restaurant serves delicious coffee and beverages. Staff is polite and efficient. There is of course possibility to pay with card as well.

It is alright as an event venue, depending on what kind of event that is. We had an off-site meeting with my company's management staff, around 30 people. The place served the purpose, but especially the chairs were making it difficult to sit for long hours as they were very poor design. The service of refreshments and food was excellent, as the refreshments and food themselves.

Did not know this place existed till now. What a lovely green hidden next to the water. Did not try the restaurant yet, will do next time I visit. Nice place for children tobplay, for everyone interested in fortresses from the Waterlinie.
