My wife and I are visiting Amsterdam this week, and we had to go to hospital due to a severe anaphylactic reaction to something I ate. The medical staff of the Emergency department were brilliant. All the people taking care of me introduced themselves, and were very kind and helpful. The also made sure that I was well informed of what to expect, and that I was as comfortable as possible while waiting for the reaction to subside.

Thank goodness! I had been walking with a broken bone for weeks. The staff all wished me luck; although I did not know what was wrong or why I needed luck. Too many people telling me “to break a leg” has turned out into reality! The staff was amazing; gave me a couple of sandwiches and soup when I was hungry. And what was even better - Johnny works there - who also happens to be a shaman! He made me smile and feel better! (He might be the real doctor there! ) He turned a stressful day into a day that made me feel I was cared for and I think his reiki took some of the pain away. If you ever have to go to the emergency room; I hope you get to meet him. He wears amazing colorful beads and his picture is there greating you when you walk in!
