I'm in Holland as a South African tourist and had a horrible experience at this store. I went in and the two blonde ladies behind the counter looked at me as if the cat dragged me in. I asked for the men's fragrance section and one of the ladies led me there and went off. I was only interested in Hugo Boss, and I needed to check the price as there was no price tag on the shelf. I lifted the box to see a ridiculously high price. I subsequently put it back in place and headed for the exit. The two ladies turned around and stared at me in shock, looking at my jeans front pockets in which my Mini Countrymen's keys and wallet were. They were in absolute shock and I realized that they suspected me of theft. I realized what was going on and immediately open my windbreaker to set them at ease. I left and went to Kruidvat Pharmacy to make my purchase instead. I had time to mull this experience over in my head about how I was treated as a tourist. I actually went back there to share my thoughts with them, and how extremely uncomfortable they made me feel with their feral glanses and apprehensive body language. The lady apologized and said that she saw me pick up the fragrance, but that she didn't see me put it back. She went further to say that they've had issues with theft and tourists. I emptied my pockets for her to see the bulges that were my car keys and wallet. I also asked her if she had checked to see if any of the fragrances were missing, to which she replied that there's no way for her to tell. Seriously?! Furthermore I asked her if the magnetic tag readers by the door do not capture products leaving the store to which she replied that it doesn't work. It really was humiliating as I am on a brief trip and just wanted to explore the little town of Ommen/Paping on my way north. Tourists, unless you plan on buying something, do not enter this store. The customer service is unfriendly and the staff will glare at you with suspicion. Cheers, Jack
