New building and repair yard specialised in fishing vessels The main focus of Maaskant Shipyards Stellendam is on the new building of fishing vessels. The range includes beam trawlers, twin riggers, shrimp trawlers, mussel dredgers and purse seiners. In addition Maaskant is also involved in the design and construction of seagoing workboats such as buoy laying- and offshore vessels. The design can be adjusted to comply with the specific requirements of the customer. More then 250 vessels have been delivered. The yard employs approximately ninety staff with an extensive and broad experience with regard to the execution of repair jobs and refits. Main activities include lengthening, re-engining, refits of wheelhouses or cabins, fish catching and processing installations. Furthermore decommissioned fishing vessels are converted into luxurious yachts. Prompt after-sales services are provided by Maaskant’s own engineering works, supported by an extensive stock of components and spare parts. In the event of emergencies, the yard can offer a 24-hour service by means of their mobile service- and repair team, also abroad. The yard operates three dry docks with a lifting capacity up to 3.500 ton. A broad range of vessels from small yachts up to large fishing vessels, hopper dredgers and vessels of the Ministry of Transport can be maintained and repaired.
