We were very disappointed about this „5-Star“ camping. They have definitely over-sold the camping on the internet. We arrived late and made arrangements to pick up the key. There was no key placed in our package, so we had to call emergency number to get into the mobile home. We were also not told that after 23.00, you cannot access the camping site so we had to park outside and carry our luggage to our mobile home at 0:00. An employee saw us at the boom gate and was more interested in telling us that the access after 23:00 is not allowed, rather than asking if we needed help. Swimming facilities are very basic. Children’s pool is good, but otherwise very ordinary and without supervision (kids jumping off rock facade into pool). Entertainment was very average, almost none existent. Tennis Court is in poor condition. Zoo animals looked in poor condition and were not accessible for kids. You can’t really swim in the lake nearby. Mobile home was fine and functional. We stayed in 3 bedroom, which was adequate for our family of 2 Adults and 3 Kids. WiFi reception was ok, but only free for 2 devices. General attitude of manager was not customer oriented. He insulted me for switching on tennis floodlights and argued that it can only be used in winter (when the camping site is closed!) and tried to defend his camping when I gave him feedback upon our departure. Avoid the disappointment. There are much better camping sites in Europe. Weather in this region is also gloomy, rainy.

Good place to bring the kids.
It was really beautiful and it was really cozy. The house we stayed in was well maintained and the beds were comfortable
Nice place with swimming pool, lake, sailing, restaurant with good food, in the middle of Friesland with many activities.
..just amazing..amazing staff.. amazing villages to rest...to spent time with family....this the right place to enjoy sunny days with family..near the water..nature...
We liked it all, the Canal, the enviromente, and the hospility of the personal. We will return!

Warning for this campsite if you use ACSI card. Low season cost is 23,5 eur/ night not 18 eur and its definitly not worth it. We were there easter 2019 and we will newer come back. Bad cleaning in the toilets and showers. The hole campingarea was in a badshape and needed grasscutting and cleaning. Very bad service in the reception about the information about the ACSI card and costs. The cost is 18 eur in low season for 1 night but the reception didnt inform us that there is an extra cost of 5,5 eur when you checkout. There was ni idea to argue anymore about the extracost and one thing more. We didnt get any reciepe from that cost! Very disipointed Swedish guests!
