Good for kids
Built in 1639 to protect shipping on the Mark and to connect Breda-Moerdijk. Now a days a greatbplace for a walk or picnic.

The place is pretty good. But no shops.
Interesting historic defense construction, 16th century out of the Spanish Dutch independence war. (\ 80 year war\ ). Great views on the small village, with windmill and medieval church.
A very little island, dont exactly know why it is been called a fortress, but a nice play to run or to walk around.
Schitterende plek om even een rondje te wandelen en te genieten van de rust en de groene oase
Kwamen hier langs tijdens een fietstocht. Behoort tot de vroegere zuidelijke verdedigingslinie zoals te lezen is op een informatiebord. Vlakbij ligt ook het jachhaventje van Terheijden met een leuk pontje en een mooie molen. Voldoende te zien om even een pauze in te lassen.
