We hired a two person kayak for 2 hours (about 14 euro) and it was a really cheap and cheerful experience. The boats were sturdy and didn’t let any water in. You can choose between the ‘wildlife’ and ‘city’ routes, we chose the city as we hadn’t gotten a chance to see Utrecht yet and it fit perfectly in the two hours. (Will take even less time if both people kayak). We didn’t see any sights because the map got really wet, so it would be nice to have a waterproof sleeve or a laminated map. You can even kayak under super low bridges! If there was merchandise for this brand, my girlfriend and I would have struggled to have walked the 20 minutes home.

It was life lasting experience, enjoyed to the core of heart...best thing is that its out of the city and you get to see outskirts of Utrecht. A bit difficult to canoe against the water flow however it was amazingly enjoyable. People were very friendly and supportive to immatures. A must try if you are in Utrecht.

Really cool place to go and rent a kanoo/boat and sail up and down the river next to it. Staff is really friendly and helpful, prices are really good. Going into the nature is really nice as you can easily find nice spots of peace and quiet. Do make a reservation beforehand, on nice days it can get really busy.

A rowingboat and canoe rental store on the small river of the 'Kromme Rijn' or Curved Rhine. From here you can go to the canals of city of Utrecht or go to the rural area outside of Utrecht, Rhijnouwen, Zeist, Bunnick and Odijk. You can also rent bikes and manual scooters. The location is not far from the center of Utrecht and is easy too reach by public transport or car. Adjacent is a municipal Swimming Pool with free parking. Prices and quality here are much more attractive then in the center of town. Great location if you want to see the city of Utrecht from the water or if you want to go canoing.
