What a great experience! This was the best restaurant we've been to in over a year! Food: So special! Very interesting ingredient combinations, served beautifully, in perfect quantities. Venue: Beautiful! We sat on the terrace, overlooking the castle, a church tower and the canal, and even though it was already dark outside, the hot lamps kept us warm and comfy. Service: I saved the best for last. The staff were very friendly, and gave us good recommendations. We never felt rushed, they brought us everything we asked for immediately and always checked if we were satisfied with our meal. Our waiter, Yoeri, in particular was very nice and made us feel gezellig. 100% recommended, it was a real special experience.
Even the dessert is asparagus flavoured in asparagus season (asparagus panda cotta). This is our favourite spot as locals- and it’s dog friendly to boot.
The food is delicious, but the portions are a bit too small. Even the kids menu portion is small, my son was still hungry afterwards. The personnel is very friendly and it has a very nice view.
Pros: location, view, food quality Cons: menu is pretty standard and a bit lackluster. Service was a bit longer than i would like. It took 20 min to get 2 glasses of tea. Finally, the price paid given everything considered was a bit pricy. Would have been better to offer new and different menu choices for a reduced fare.
