I am currently taking their 3-month summer deal. Great atmosphere and fellow students. Lots of individual attention. Large variety of styles, teachers, levels, timeslots. Would recommend to anyone: young or old, beginner or advanced. I'm sure you'll find a flavour you like. Oh - and there's tea after!
If you want to discover true yoga spirit, this is the place! I go to Mysore classes almost every morning, and it is changing not only my body but also the mind. The best qualified teachers, definitely recommend!
Terrible Adjustment in 2017, nerve damage, pain, thousands spent on recovery I sustained a hip injury when one of their teachers pressed me to the floor, followed by a terrible noise from my hip that sounded like an iron industrial freezer door slamming shut. When I complained they said that I didnt know my body, offering me one free alignment yoga class as compensation for my injury that I recieved through one of their teachers bad adjustments. This class ended up doing more damage than good - what they needed to do was refer me to a physio. I have now spent thousands on working with the hip and nerve damage that this place left me. These people motivated me to become a 550 hour trained yoga teacher, going on into physio so I would actually know what I was doing, I would know my body. I would know the bodies of my students and I would never make such a horrendous mistake as Yogaplace Maastricht. The way they handled my complaint shocks me to this day. This injury revealed how damaging it was over a long period of time. Knowing now what I didn't know then gives perspective to the whole situation and the handling of it. The truth is Maastricht yogaplace was the cause of an incredible amount of pain that was due to an inexperienced adjustment and my anger is completely justified.
It is difficult to put into words. Ashtanga yoga and yogaplace have completely changed my life. I visit it 5 times a week for 90 minutes and can't say how wonderful it is. They are not only knowledgeable, helpful and thorough. They are friendly, warm and it is a pleasure to be there. It's just fantastic!
