Hello and thank you for taking the time to visit our page! My name is Joshua Allenbrand and I’m the owner and Master Popper of Allenbrand’s Gourmet Popcorn. We are a unique family owned company located in the centrum of Dordrecht. We specialize in producing handmade popcorn in small batches. I’m a second generation popcorn artist with over 20 years’ experience. Originally from America where I learned all things popcorn from my family’s business. I met my wonderful Dutch partner while she was visiting on holiday and she is what brought me to here. We decided to live in The Netherlands and to continue my family’s passion for popcorn. I use our American recipes to offer an exclusive popcorn that is not mass produced. We take pride in the quality and freshness of our popcorn. This isn’t the same old taste and ideas that many have come to expect but rather this is popcorn born of inspiration and time tested recipes made with love. I use a small batch production style that allows us to minimize the popcorn’s exposure to air after popping (open exposure to air is the enemy of fresh popcorn). After the corn is popped we use a sifting process to help clean the popcorn of small or un-popped pieces. The sifted popcorn is bagged using a linear weigh machine immediately locking in the freshness. Other benefits of small batch production is we are able to really control the quality of the ingredients and just as importantly, the process used to create your popcorn. All of these things combined helps ensure the best quality possible. Having our popcorn is just like fresh onsite popcorn without all the hassle. What that means for you or your guests is that they receive a consistent high quality product with superb freshness!
