Unfortunately the chef argued, intimidated and then threatened to assault me as I left rubbish next to the bin for hard rubbish collection before the collection time (due to the COVID curfew). Giving off some very tense and angry vibes - doesn’t feel too good. Haven’t tried the food yet though - It looks okay?

Legendary in Amsterdam, most delicious food , good prices for big portions and the staff are always friendly. The veggie delux option is amazing.

As someone who has been living in Amsterdam my whole life, I have frequently ordered Aarti 2 — but never again. Time after time it took them so unbelievable long to deliver the food. They always said it would take 45 minutes to be exact, but often it was 2.5 hours - or even longer (!!!) - to be true. Of course it is annoying to wait for your food very long, but my main frustration is the constant stream of lies and pretense. Each time you would call them to ask how your order is doing (after 1.5 hours that is) they immediately tell you your order is on its way. Even a bit annoyed, they tell you to patiently wait. But after time passes, it becomes clear they haven’t even started. If after an hour the deliver arrives, he admits he has only left some 10 minutes before... They willingly lie and obstruct, which is unnecessarily so. Some honesty would come a long way.

We went at the store to order some food. The employee was not very helpful. We ordered our food, we received it packaged and when we opened it at home it was different than the one we ordered. During our stay at the store, food containers were falling regularly on the floor. Random people were grabbing them, they were giving them to the employee and they just put them back on the stack with the clean ones, ready to be used for food.

Unfortunatley, these people are the lowest of the lowest in society. You can compare them very nicely to the dirt under your shoe. They are the most uneducated people I have seen working at a take away. They are incredibly rude and also very dumb. They have no manners and talk to you as if you are lower than them, when in fact they are the peasants working for less than 5 euros an hour!
