I have travelled from England and have visited two patchwork shops in this road on previous visits. I arrived just before opening time of 11.00am so went for a short walk and returned at 11.10am to find the door slightly open . I started to walk inside and was told it wasn’t open . I waited outside although it was very cold . Another lady arrived and tried going in and also was sent away. After 6 or 7 minutes the lady came to the door. It seemed that she had been making herself a coffee! Not a good start. There are signs everywhere stating a 30% discount. The other lady who had waited outside with me said the shop was closing down. I chose some fabrics and took them to the till, all half metres. She rang them up and I asked if she had given the discount to which she replied I had to have more then half metre pieces to get a discount to which I replied why not write this on the same sign? She said I should have looked at her website and she couldn’t write everything up! Throughout my visit I felt unwanted and uncomfortable and she, the owner, did nothing to make me feel welcome or valued. I left the shop without purchasing this fabric. She was not pleased. I wonder why someone with such a temperament would want to run a shop, especially a quilt shop where people, such as those in the shop next door, are usually so friendly. I suggest you buy your fabric elsewhere.

Do not even bother going in. My wife and I went in to buy a quilt kit and were treated horribly by the staff. She made us feel like we were an inconvenience to her day. It was an effort just to get a receipt. We would never shop there or order online. Go next door, friendly and helpful staff.

If I could rate it no stars I would. They are overpriced and rude. We asked a few questions to be able to figure out how much a few patterns cost and were kicked out for asking. Don’t waste your time with this shop.

This shop has nice fabrics but unfortunately the same can’t be said about the staff. The shop was late opening on the morning I visited with no apology for keeping several customers waiting. I found the attitude of the the staff member to be extremely rude and brisk, not only to me but also to the other customers in the shop. As fat quarters are commonly used for quilting projects, I was so surprised that this quilt fabric shop will not cut fat quarters only 25cm lengths. Would I shop here again? No. Would I shop in the quilting fabric store next door? Yes, as I found their staff very pleasant and they have a larger selection of fabrics to choose from.

Oh, my! This quilt Shop was the worst experience ever. I went in to purchase the quilt pattern in the window. I asked about who wrote the pattern expecting a response like, “a local, quilt guild” or “a quilt shop owner in another town” or “a mother daughter writes that pattern”. Instead I was berated for asking the question. I should have just put it down and left but I bought it and some fabric. Would not recommend at all. Totally not worth risking verbal assault for a few bits of fabric and a tourist quilt pattern. The quilt pattern is “Little Amsterdam” by North Sea Quilters and you can buy it on the internet.

Large range of fabrics but the shop assistant/owner was extremely rude, and not at all helpful. Realised the shop we were looking for was next door (much nicer fabric and lovely staff). Would definitely not return here ever again.
