What a fantastic place. They have an amazing selection of beers and the food was incredible. You must try the crispy chicken with bacon on waffles with maple syrup. The menu is not the largest but the food is top notch. The service was also excellent. Highly recommended.

I’m so happy to finally see an authentic, genuine and beautiful taproom on the Rokin. Amongst all the other spots that can easily be tagged as tourist traps, Het Lagerhuys brings something original and authentic that truly represents Amsterdam culture. They have over 50 beers on tap and the chef is highly talented, having worked in prestigious restaurants in Amsterdam beforehand, and now bringing his genius to comfort food. The food is an absolute belter, and the beers will keep you going for more. Highly recommend this place.
Het Lagerhuys is a beer specialist and serves various beverages from Dutch and Belgian distilleries. The staff was very friendly and although we had 0 beers, the ice tea was cold, the fries and sauce were very tasty and the buffalo wings were of super quality. A cold liter of water served in a glass bottle was complementary.
Finally good food and great beer on Rokin. This is in the heart of tourist central and thus it is a struggle to find an affordable place with good food and a good beer selection. They fill this need greatly. The food was amazing and unique. And the beer selection is some of the best in the city. It's located at the base of the building and you enter from the alley. Make sure you swing by and check it out

Finding the alleyway entrance can present a slight challenge. Unnoticed by the casual passerby is the inviting space, friendly staff, and lively music. Classic dishes are built with modern interpretations. Kudos to the team behind the recently remodelled interior. Multiple blackboards list 50 local and rotating explorations into fermentation. Every item on the seasonal menu is crafted with an eye for presentation and flavour. Nachos layer tortilla chips made in-house with carefully selected ingredients. Adding the pulled pork is a must along with a drizzle of buffalo sauce. Complemented by salsa and sour cream, it’s a filling dish perfect for sharing or selfishness. Het Lagerhuys delights the palate late into the evening. Overall this gastropub’s top quality should not be skipped. Seat yourself for a memorable experience.
A second "living room" for beer geeks, wine lovers and foodies in general. It's great to witness a mutual understanding of hostmanship while celebrating life and sharing beloved beers. Cheers!
