Lady who served us was very friendly and offered us the almond bars to try. After purchasing 1 of the almond bars, I went back and was planning to purchase another one for my mum; I mentioned that I wont be giving it to my mum until a week later and the lady kindly adviced me that it probably wouldnt taste as nice by then so best if I came back closer to the day. The almond bar was REALLY nice. I'm not normally a big fan of dried cherries (the almond bar had dried cherries) but it was lovely! The cakes were nice and the butter biscuits were super buttery and melt in the mouth!!!

Huize Van Wely is a Dutch chocolate, pastry and ice-cream shop that opened its doors for the first time in 1922 at Noordwijk aan Zee, Holland. They have two branches in Amsterdam including this shop at Gelderlandplein shopping mall. We visited recently and quite enjoyed a two scoop ice-cream served in a cone. The pistachio was nutty with bits of pistachio, nice flavour. However, the chocolate was excellent. This scoop was smooth, nice texture and rich chocolate taste. Both were good scoops, we simply preferred the chocolate. Would gladly stop by again for another ice-cream at Huize Van Wely, especially on hot summer days.

This is without doubt one of the best Pâtisserie in the world, and they have proven it by winning multiple international awards for being an exceptional brand. The chocolate selection is simply delightful and amazing when it comes to presentation and taste. My advice is to try something different each time you visit this place. You will not be disappointed
