In the mid/ end of the 90ies i visited Independent Outlet for the first time. Back then in a different location. Came there for the records and in my opinion it was and still is, one of the best adresses in Amsterdam for Punk/ Hardcore Vinyl. The selection is way less than back in the days, but still i try to go there every time I visit Amsterdam. Never went out there without buying anything. These days most of the stuff in Store is Skatestuff/ clothes. I do recommend to give Independent Outlet a visit while in Amsterdam.

The staff here was super friendly and walked me through their wares. I was hesitant to purchase a board due to luggage space constraints, and they offered to take the trucks off for me. I ended up purchasing a gnarly little penny board sized cruiser.

What an awesome skate shop. I got back into skating after moving here. I needed shoes and trucks. These guys delivered. The employee I worked with was super patient with me, I probably tried on 10 different pairs of shoes and at no point did I feel like I was wasting anybody's time. The employee did a great job juggling me and allowing other shoppers to browse the store while maintaining distance.
