The restaurant is closed for dine in due to Covid, though you can still make take away orders. The phone works, you just need to try your luck. The general rules is to places order at least 2 days in advance for bulk orders and sushi platters. The restaurant reminds me the good old days living in Japan, having a good chat with the chef while he is making your food. Authentic sushi bar with affordable price. Highly recommended! P.S karage is the hidden gem, too bad they don’t serve it during the lock down.

Very happy that Kaiko is open again! Although only for take out for now due to Covid. Best sushi in Amsterdam, very good quality, taste, and reasonably priced.

I wanted to order sushi for take away. So, I called and asked if they do take aways. The answer was yes , but the women (waitress, I recognize her voice) told me to order now which I said I wanted to discuss with my partner first and said that I will call back. She answered with ok. Just 11 minutes later I tried to call back and the phone rang 4 times. But no one picked up and I kept on calling. I tried to call several times after that with a time gap of 15 min in between. They then just shut down their phone. The phone didn’t rang at all. Me and my partner love their sushi. The sushi chef is a nice person. But the waitress is so not friendly to customers. If it wasn’t for the sushi, we would never go there. So if you don’t mind the service, then go. Sushi is very good. Atmosphere and service very bad!
Unfortunately we cant eat at the restaurant, but take away is still awesome. HOMAKASE
