Service: Semi attentive, it was quite busy but it seemed to trouble the neighboring tables next to us, as well, that our waiters/waitresses did not check up on us after delivering the meals. Food: Comfort food. They seemed to call upon basic notes of Indonesian cuisine, if you’ve had the pleasure of traveling to and indulge authentic Indonesian cuisine, you’d know what I’m talking about. With that said, the food was good and had great flavors. Atmosphere: Fairly busy around 2100, or 9pm, with a somewhat louder vibe for a dinner setting. They do accommodate larger groups, which is good to note!

Very friendly service here! Food was quite good, but the points are lost because of the price/quality ratio. Better options for lower prices available elsewhere. Again, very welcoming staff members!

Kantjil & De Tijger is a very nice Indonesian restaurant that we found in Amsterdam. Food is tasty and fresh. Their service was fast and helpful. The place has nice decorations and feels cozy. They have nice wine to choose from. Will definitely come back to visit. P.S. I would recommend to get the rice bowl with fried rice and beef as in my opinion is better.

Loved it. Hard to find Indonesian food back home and this matched on par to the better places in the New York area in the US. Good portion size and price . I was also able to get what I now consider my favorite IPA of all time, Lowlander. Almost repeated on same day for dinner but had to get some traditional Dutch food before leaving the country.

Delicious food with authentic Indonesian essence in the center of Amsterdam. The price a little bit pricey with the small portion. but service is good. I wanted to order Kantjil bowl set, which seemed a good deal at the time but I was arrived too late so I ordered other stings instead. But I will come back to order that set next time! I liked beef stew in coconut milk there which I recommend if you want to try something rich and aromatic spice.
