Went in to report stolen sunglasses today. The two police women were completely unsympathetic and outright sarcastic and rude, their questioning was bordering on racism. Not what you expect from those who we rely on for law and order. Very poor experience from those who represent the state. Unprofessional.

I was in Amsterdam November 2019 I had the exceptional experience to watch these gentlemen do their job into the weekend. As the weekend built to its feverish pitch As the alcohol was being filtered into the toilets and men’s over exuberance cannot be ignored. These Keepers of the citizenry Deescalated like I have never seen coming from America. It was good to see professionals work.

I'm registered disabled and parked my bike outside my hotel in the disabled parking. When I woke up it was gone, after limping in pain to the bike shop to prove my disability and proof I was parked correctly I was told I will not get my passport back unless I pay a fee of 132 for delivery back of the bike and the bike lock being cut and this and that ect.. I think the bike shop should of phoned the depo to explain I have proof I was parked correctly and they made a mistake but they just wanted my money so with him illegally holding my passport and me feeling like I'm having the advantage taken out of my due to my disability I slowly painfully limped to the police station for some advice.. This horrible men with bad attitude told me just beucae I'm disabled doesn't make me above the law even though I wasn't trying to be I was just aski g for help and advice. Anyway his advice and help was I should walk the 25km to the depo and pay my bill to get the bike back for the rental shop. I was so shocked as an experienced traveler I have never been treated this way I actually started to get emotional from the pain in my legs and feeling so vulnerable and attacked I was so overwhelmed and just had to walk out. Pleqse people don't expect help from local police in this station he wouldn't even let me talk to someone else they are criminal's.

went there to report high value property missing (high chance of thief or robbery). they said go home, we are not gonna help you. seem like a waste of tax money for those people.

My whole stuff got stolen in Amsterdam and I called the police! They said they are not coming to the place. We went there and they asked to go back different day to report my stolen stuff including passport and important documents. They don't care whatever happened to us. I consider police helping these people to steal from foreign people.
