I have stayed in this hostel only for a few days (before covid) and all of the staff were so kind. The bathrooms were clean and the breakfast was nice. Will visit again

Great location and friendly staff. Breakfast was not bad.
It was really good. everyone was kind and It's close to red light street(right next to it) and china town. Quiet and clean also the walking tour was nice. I loved it!!!!!
Amsterdam hostels are notorious as people go there to party, and arrive to their rooms wasted disturbing other guests. I have especially chose this Christian hostel, hoping that the party crowd would not frequent here. and that I would not be subjected to somebody vomiting on me in the middle of the night. My expectations were met. The place was really quiet and there were even older people. Even though I stayed in a huge dormitory type room, there were no nuisance at all. People were friendly. "Oliver De Shelter Cat", who has a Facebook page (!) was really cute. The location is close to the station I actually pulled my baggage to the hostel. It is also right behind the Red Light district. if you turn right when you get out the door you are right in it. I guess they wanted to be near "Sin City" so to speak. I would probably stay here again next time I visit Amsterdam.
Amazing stay at Shelter city. Clean. Great staff. Good location. And breakfast is included. Definitely recommend anyone to stay here.
Right at the heart of redlight district so u don't have to walk like crazy to get back... comfortable beds and safety along with very friendly enviornment! Lovely and warm people ! Beautiful garden and amazing breakfast!!
The hostel was affordable, clean, and had a very decent breakfast. The receptionists were all helpful and nice. Make sure you check the local tips in the ground floor!
The place was great, me and 3 friends were there and we had a really good time, the workers where very nice and treated us very well and were very helpful, our stay was great and also the have a cat living in the hostel that was such a nice buddy. Also the free breakfast was something surprising and always was very good.
