I haven't even been here for 3 days, and I can tell that there is not much caring for the customer in this residence. During the beginning of September I rented a room, and after a month they told me that the room was already taken by someone else, and that I must change contract, and therefore room. What was unfair was that I had to pay since the beginning of September for a room that wasn't even mine. When I arrived to Amsterdam and saw the room, the room was disgusting. It is understandable that residence rooms may have some stains on the walls, marks, and some minor imperfections, but there was vomit on the floor, the floor was sticky and dirty. The sofa was also nasty and destroyed, and had to be completely replaced (I wish I could show it, but it is impossible to upload videos). This not only shows that the residence is quite unbothered about the way that their customers are treated, but it also shows the poor hygiene that the residence maintains, which should be essential during the pandemic. I had to wait 2 days for the room to be cleaned, which wasted my time, specially being a student, and having exams coming near by. It shouldn't be my problem that the room is disgusting, because it is not my responsibility, specially for a residence that doesn't come cheap.

Very nice student accommodation, highly recommend it! The atmosphere at the FIZZ is very social, lots of events are organized and the environment in multicultural. But at the same time, there, you can find also a quiet space in the center of Amsterdam. The resident manager Sander is kind and available at any times in case of questions or needs, from small things to big issues, always ready to help. This makes the difference!
I have enjoyed every bit of my time here. As an international student, sometimes entering a new country you are a bit pessimistic about everything. But living at the FIZZ Spartaan firstly kept me in a round the clock multicultural environment. Interestingly too markets, school, gym place and proximity to the airport were some of the many other advantages I enjoyed. Its competitive to say the least,cause the amenities are all quite new and they have an on ground resident manager who keeps a round the clock watch and helps out when things are not working.
I enjoyed livin at FIZZ. Easy convenient place with modern simple styled rooms. Washing machine downstairs with use via web portal. Common study room and large bicycle garage. The management answered fast and fixed up if anything went broken. Smart solutions for post and package delivery. Recommended place if you are independent and like modern do it yourself.
Good installations, on a amazing location. The student housing of the Fizz Spartan is among the best student housing for students of the VU and UVA
