A few years ago, my mother bought a 10-lesson card (back then it was only valid for 3 months). Then her father, my dear grandfather, suddenly got sick and only had a few weeks to live. My mother flew back to China to take care of him in his last days (she doesn't get to see him often because she lives in The Netherlands). When she came back frok the funeral, she asked the owner of Bikram Yoga Haarlem if she could extend her card because her father died. She said no. She said she had to buy a new card. I've done yoga here for a long time, and I've always respected Bettine. But this still rubs me the wrong way. How can a school that promotes compassion, inner peace and love, be so heartless to a woman who just lost her father and not even make an exception. I've emailed Bettine about this before and still, she told me my mom can buy a new card. Also, one of the teachers said they didn't believe Bikram Choudhury is a sexual predator, because \they've met him\. Way to go to dismiss the trauma of all the women who have been victims.

It always nice to visit other Bikram Yoga schools. This place is great; the facility is always sparkling clean, the teachers are friendly and there is a strong sense of community in this hot yoga school. I like to visit once in a while because they also bringing interesting guest teachers to do workshops once in a while. Highly recommended!
