I love this place! Good cocktails, snacks, and dinner spreads. Lovely kind service when dining in and great neighborhood bar with large patio (in the past). Now with corona measures, big spread of take-home items. I prefer their dinner menu (and would recommend the roasted chicken burger/veg burger!).

Carter never disappoints. If you want a true Amsterdam experience and dine like a local this is the place to go. Food is great and the service is very good.

Walking from the nearby Hilton there are options for dinner to be sure. Carter offers something a bit different, better and balanced. You can crowd into the bar for craft cocktail, a glass of wine, or a better than decent beer from their standard or rotating selection of local standards and select craft. The menu claims modern french and offers vegan or hearty meat dishes in small plates, full entrees, shared selections, and 3 course chef creations. It can be crowded but there a rainy Sunday night is a great time for a casual meal or fine cocktail.
