The specificity of the Agora concept is the new way of organizing learning processes for students. The emphasis is on learning within context-rich situations in which students motivate themselves to learn in a self-regulatory and collaborative way. The coaching role of the teachers, Agorian Masters, is essential. We work with personalized, not predefined, learning routes where students look for the answers to their own research questions. These research questions (challenges) can be explained from the five worlds of Agora: Science, Society, Spirituality, Social / Ethics and Art. Challenges At Agora we work with challenges. The subject of a challenge is devised by students themselves, in which they are autonomous. A challenge can be performed alone or in a group. The challenges are implemented on the basis of a phased step-by-step plan. In the challenge, students learn to convert their own learning question into a plan. In this way, they set to work on their own to determine what is needed and who should be contacted and what their planning should look like. Pupils come into contact with other students and often also with companies or organizations outside of school. At the end of the challenge, they present the result of the challenge to the community and reflect with their coach on the learning process. The 5 worlds of Agora Each topic or learning question is viewed from one of the five Agora worlds: the social, socially ethical, scientific, spiritual and artistic world. Examples of topics that suit every world are: Social: how people live together, such as culture, economy, history, politics, trade. Scientific: investigate and know how things work, such as technology, technology, ICT, biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics. Socio-ethical: moral acting according to what is good and what is bad, such as taki Subjects, tests, class schedules and homework have been exchanged for challenges, collaboration and individual coaching by your coach.
