Beautiful small garden in the middle of the city. Only open few weeks a year, i visited on early spring during the sakura bloom. Could be bit busy on weekend, free admission. There was a local market fair during my visit next to the entrance, it was lovely too. I bought a honey there.

Beautiful garden in the middle of a nice park. Entrance is free and it’s nice and small so no need to budget a lot of time here unless you’re a serious photographer. We went on a Monday afternoon and it was pretty quiet although I would expect it to be much busier on the weekends so try to come on a weekday if you can.

Not only Japanese garden is nice and warm. The whole park is beautiful and peaceful. Cute animals. I see more locals than tourists.

Small but beautiful. The park around it is also very nice to go for a walk, make a picnic or just relax laying on the grass

Around 1910, Marguerite M. Baronesse van Brienen (1871-1939) or 'freule Daisy' as she was known, travelled to Japan and bought some garden ornaments for her garden. It was the only known Japanese Garden in the Netherlands during that time. After she passed away, the municipality of The Hague took care of the garden. it is only open for 8 weeks from May. This creates a lot of interest for admirers and urban explorers. Expect it to be busy but be amazed by the garden.

An unique experience, in a small confined space in the Hague. The way they created a small ecosystem between the trees is really incredible. It is only is sometimes open.. So make sure to check the website. As a Dutch I can recommend it to relax, especially if the room aren't too many tourists. Enjoy!
