I used Erwin's service to inspect and help on the negotiation/mediation of a car purchase. All the communication was super clear, always on time, he was very transparent and gave plenty of confidence, which was exactly what I needed. As an international buyer looking to purchase and import a vehicle from the Netherlands to the USA. It was imperative I find someone that I trusted to inspect the car in my absence. After a lot of serching I luckily found CARHOST.NL and Erwin. It saved a potential nightmare situation in which I would have purchased and imported a vehicle with several major defects (absent from the owner's pictures and description). Carhost bent over backwards to accommodate my particular situation and I would whole heartedly recommend their service(s) to anyone considering the purchase of a vehicle.

I wanted buy car but I had no technical knowledge. I needed an expert to make sure I buy a car in good condition. Erwin helped during the whole process starting from checking car ads and do some pre-screening. He then visited the dealers and made a very detailed and thorough technical inspection. The inspection report he shared included every single important detail regarding the cars, making it easy to decide which car should I buy. He explained everything on the phone too, it was easy to communicate with him. He also played a key role in negotiating with the dealer and hence, making the whole buying process as smooth as possible for me. Buying a car without him could have been just gambling. I would strongly recommend him to everyone who wants to make a good decision when purchasing a second hand car.

Heel tevreden over de dienstverlening van Carhost. Het contact met Erwin verliep snel en soepel. De afspraak voor een aankoopkeuring was dan ook snel gemaakt. Netjes op tijd op locatie en met 2 man sterk professioneel en deskundig het object beoordeeld. De input van Erwin gaf mij voldoende vertrouwen om tot koop over te gaan. Fijn te weten dat als je zelf weinig verstand van zaken hebt, dit over te kunnen laten aan professionals! Ik raad iedereen dan ook Carhost.nl aan. Als ik dan toch een verbeterpunt mag noemen is dat het rapport zelf. Dat is redelijk basic en je ontvangt alle foto's los. Van sommige foto's weet ik niet eens wat het is ;-) Mooier zou het zijn als ze de relevante foto's verwerken in het rapport maar ik begrijp dat ze dan niet uit de kosten komen aangezien ze een scherp tarief hanteren.

Afgelopen weekend vonden wij een prachtige VW Golf 1.2 TSI bij een autohandel in Almere. Erwin Smellink van Carhost heeft voor ons binnen 2 dagen op locatie bij het bedrijf een techno-keuring uitgevoerd en daar diezelfde dag nog over gerapporteerd. Met een helder advies, een uitgebreide onderbouwing van de bevindingen met foto's en een lange lijst met geteste items en het oordeel per item. Voor ons gaf dit de doorslag om de auto te kopen. Bij een tweedehands auto van een handelaar hebben wij juist zo'n onafhankelijk oordeel nodig. Dat is de kosten meer dan waard. Uiteindelijk hebben wij bij Carhost nog een halfjaar garantieverzekering gesloten, zodat we extra gedekt zijn als er tijdens het gebruik nog problemen aan het licht zouden komen, die bij een keuring niet kunnen worden vastgesteld. Een compliment voor Erwin voor zijn communicatie en bereikbaarheid voor vragen. Kortom een echte aanrader voor wie een gebruikte auto wil kopen.
