With "geriatrics and elderly" we not only consider chronological age , but also of the " biological age " . DGO members are dietitians working in geriatrics and elderly ( dietician GO). The DGO represents the interests of the dietitian GO when it comes to professional themes and / or positioning of dietitians JV partners direction / policy makers at the national level. In summary, it is: - Joint work on a good quality in the field of nutrition in general , diet and lifestyle for the elderly. - Sharing the specific expertise of dietitians GO with relevant external partners , and other healthcare providers for (vulnerable) elderly. With the ultimate goal that the client can rely on an efficient treatment of dietitians GO , which (where possible) is evidence based. The DGO is a national platform for advice and consultation. The members improve the professional development and positioning of their own specialty . Through the DGO , the members, (future) clients, professionals and / or business partners find each other and / or work together. The DGO facilitates training for the members and promotes research in the field of nutrition and dietetics .
