I highly recommend Fiestra for the bike workshop! They teach in both Dutch and English, so internationals can also participate in it. The course includes rules and practical. I think non-Dutch should take part in it because the road systems can differ radically from countries. I come from where it uses the "British road system"(drive on the left side). They kindly explain to me step by step, first the rules on the road, then the road signs and lastly they simulate some confusing situations. For the practical, it is not only for those who never ride a bike but also those who don't often use it. The environment for practical is quiet and spacious which allows you to try and fall. I have a bike but I have never tried to ride my bike because I was afraid of unbalance. They help me to overcome this fear. I can even ride in the city now. Besides, the 2nd hand bikes there are quite new and not marked up as in the city centre. Richard the owner is also helpful, he will recommend you and of course you can try in Fietstra! I would recommend anyone who needs a bike to buy there!
