Way larger than expected. Interesting collection, wide variety of models and artifacts. If you are a collector this place it great. If you're interested in more context you might be missing a little. All in all very entertaining and detail oriented.

Having been to the Amsterdam scheepvaart museum this one is a bit disappointing. The staff was really friendly and the location is really nice. The building is a historic building with authentic beams. Mind your head! However if you are here in Groningen it is worth the visit!

Very friendly staff and lots of interesting displays linked to maritime. The information was very technical though and, although the website-linked stories were interesting, there could be more of a story told.

Thr museum goes in to great detail, especially in regards to the old woodworking processes. It can be seen in about an hour and doesn't cost much.

I don't know much about ships but I still liked it. Many details about that kind of things, which would be even more interesting for those that know about that kind of things.

A great museum to visit. Perhaps it would have been more interesting for me if the signs had also been in English, but it is understandable that it was not the case. Otherwise an Audio tour or something similar would be a great addition. Regardless of the minor issues I faced, it was great to see the museum either way, and they have a website that gives details on some of the pieces.

A very interesting museum on the ships used in and around Groningen. However, the descriptions of the items are only in Dutch and those are also not very detailed. It would be nice to have descriptions in more then one language, maybe Dutch, English and German. The museum guide is also available in english, which is helpful.
