With the Covid shut down, we still wanted to do something nice for Valentine’s Day. So we ordered a takeaway box dinner. For 35/person we received an excellent four course meal, consisting of: An amuse-bouche of pheasant mousse with port jelly. Cocktail of gin and tonic with rose syrup, complete with lime zest and actual mini roses as garnish. Roast beef with Swiss chard, cranberries, tomatoes and fennel seeds with a balsamic glaze Paprika tomato soup with mascarpone cream topping. Guinnea fowl with mushroom truffle gravy, roast potatoes and vegetable au gratin. A fresh berry and custard trifle with brownies and heart shaped merengues. Everything was well packaged and well labeled, with easy to follow directions. The customer service was prompt and friendly. I really appreciated their attention to detail, which made the holiday meal smooth and enjoyable.

Great three-course meal!
The 3 course menu was exquisite, and I would have happily paid a lot more than the price of 38 euros. Scampi’s in Garlic butter were the best I’ve ever had, and the Sea Bass for mains was so fresh and presented beautifully. The sweet potato purée and accompaniments were light and tasty. Dessert was great too. Service was friendly and very efficient and all in all a great experience. Will definitely return on my next visit to Gulpen. Wish the team at VG all the very best
We came late in the evening and still they welcomed us very nicely and allowed us to eat meal and dessert, very kind waitress and good food
