Waalse Kerk (Walloon Church) is a 14th century church in Haarlem that is an included stop on the Visit Haarlem 'Monuments' self-walk tour around the city. It is located just a couple minutes walk north and east from Grote Markt up Begijnhofstraat. Unfortunately, the church was closed when we passed by so not sure is open for regular visitation by tourists or not. Regardless, you can walk around and enjoy the medieval exterior and the small landscaped garden next to the church both of which are nice. Historically this was a refugee church for French speakers from Belgium and France. There is a bit more history you can pick up from the 'Monuments of Haarlem' walking tour notes which you can download from the Visit Haarlem website. You can also purchase at the TI services at the City Hall building at Grote Markt.
